The deep-V-neck wedding dress is back. Once a hallmark of the late 2010s, the plunging neckline may feel nostalgic rather than trend-forward to some brides. But for fall 2027, Australian bridal label Kyha Studios is offering a fresh take on the silhouette and reaffirming its place in the modern bride's wardrobe.

The standout piece is Bailey, a directional take on the classic ball gown and arguably a hero look from the brand's latest collection. Crafted from lustrous duchess satin, the gown features artfully placed architectural draping and sculptural folds that flow into a sweeping train. Its fitted bodice and deep-V neckline contrast with the skirt's exaggerated proportions.

Bailey is just one expression of the design direction behind Kyha's latest offerings, though. For its new collection, titled Josephine, the line offers 26 pieces that look past one bridal trend in favor of a more individual approach to wedding dressing.

Inspired by the eclectic spirit of 1970s Spain, Josephine spans necklines, silhouettes, and moods with options for brides whose personal styles extend well beyond one aesthetic. That diversity is intentional. "We wanted Josephine to reflect that shift toward a more individual approach to bridal style," says Kyha Scott, the brand's founder and creative director.

Josephine was also intentionally conceived to reflect how modern brides are thinking about their wedding wardrobes in 2026 and beyond. "[We're seeing] brides move beyond viewing their wedding as a single event—instead seeing it as a series of distinct celebrations centered around the aisle moment," Claire Murphy, CEO of Kyha Studios, tells Who What Wear. "One in five Kyha brides now purchase more than one look from us."

Alongside ball gowns like Bailey, Cleo, and Torres, the collection features fitted long-sleeve silk dresses, such as Palma and Lola, and playful minis, such as Fiorito and Pacha. Together, the styles offer possibilities for every moment—from bachelorette celebrations and rehearsal dinners to pre-wedding preparations, receptions, and after-parties. "[At the same time], the collection ensures that the most important moment of all, the defining walk down the aisle, remains at the heart of it," Murphy says.
